SUBSTANCE: method includes the high-pressure synthesis section, which includes the reaction step in the vertical reactor (R), into which at least one stream of fresh carbon dioxide-containing passivating agent, is fed and a step of decomposition-stripping of untransformed reagents, where the gas-liquid mixture, collected in the upper part of the reactor, is separated into a gaseous stream and liquid stream, which are introduced into a lower part and an upper part of the stripping column. There also representations of the apparatus for the method realisation and the method of improving a pre-existing process for urea production.

EFFECT: invention relates to the improved process for the production of urea from ammonia and carbon dioxide at high temperature and pressure, forming ammonium carbamate as intermediate product and helps to improve the corrosion resistance.
