SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the lighting control devices. The result is achieved by the fact that the control includes measuring the phase angle of the light brightness control (S322) for the voltage received from the light brightness controller, defining the target light brightness (S323) to be output by the SSL light source, in accordance with the phase angle of the light brightness control, determining the current light brightness (S324) currently output by the SSL light source, and determining the rate of the output signal change (S325) based on the current and the target brightness. The current light brightness, currently output by the SSL light source, is adjusted (S326) to the target brightness by using a nonlinear rate of the output signal change.

EFFECT: invention provides a smooth control of the solid-state (SSL) light source.
