SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of stabilizing of at least one frame part of the tree harvesting machine that comprises steps including: determining the moment made with a pay load of the tree harvesting machine to the supported frame part, and based on the moment made with the pay load to the supported frame part determine the value and direction of at least one support moment required at least to stabilize the frame part. Furthermore this invention relates to a device for stabilizing at least one frame part of the tree harvesting machine equipped to perform the above computations.
