FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: method of canceling application installation which carry out undesirable actions consists in the following: a) an attempt to install the application is detected; b) installation of the detected application is set in the secure environment, where the secure environment comprises an emulator; c) windows of application installation program and graphical interface elements connected with these windows are determined; d) undesirable actions during application installation in the secure environment are determined. Application undesirable actions are performed without the user's knowledge, before performing an undesirable action there are no graphical interface elements displaying, connected with windows of the application installation program determined at the previous stage, and undesirable actions comprise at least one of: change of browser start page; change of default browser; change of proxy settings; adding a new toolbar in the browser; creating a startup key in the registry; adding icons to the desktop; attempt to get access to files from user private folders; presence of links to untrusted sites in the application code, where users are required to pay for key to the further application operation or provide personal information; e) application installation is canceled if at least one undesirable action is determined.

EFFECT: providing cancellation of application installation which perform application undesirable actions.
