SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of automating the process of installing an application using an installation rule for an application installer. The installation rule includes an activation series of control elements during operation of the installer for successful completion of installation. The method includes launching an application installer using an installation means; analysing the active window of the application installer for presence of active elements using analysis means; searching for control elements in the window using the analysis means, wherein the control elements are those active elements responsible for switching to other windows of the application installer; switching on control elements to other windows of the installer using the analysis means; repeating the previous steps for each active window of the installer until all windows of the installer are analysed; creating an installation rule in an installation rule database based on the detected control elements.

EFFECT: enabling automatic installation of an application using an installation rule for an application installer.
