FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method of the ore stream viziometric quality analysis includes the analyzed ore section lighting in two modes and the images fixing. When performing a viziometric analysis of the ore mineral composition, the investigated ore section is illuminated with a scattered light flux, partially focused on the analyzed area. When analyzing the size of ore pieces, the analyzed area is illuminated with close to the plane-parallel light flux directed to the plane of the analyzed ore section at an angle of 40-50°. The device for the viziometric analysis of the ore stream quality includes a housing, a light source fixed in it, primary and additional reflectors and a digital video camera. Switching between measuring modes is carried out by the controller.

EFFECT: improved accuracy of mineral composition and ore size parameters analysis.
