FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: method is intended for automatic analysis of the pulp composition in grinding and flotation operations in dressing minerals and can be used to control the composition of heterophase flows in chemistry and metallurgy. Pulp is extracted from the flow and solid phase of the pulp is dried to a preset stable humidity of the sample on a filtering surface under action of a pressure difference created by vacuum supply. Deposited on the filtering surface sample of the solid phase is mechanically transferred to a composition analyzer and a roentgenofluorescent analysis of the pulp solid phase sample elementary composition is performed. Additionally by a visiometric analysis of colour characteristics the sample mineral composition is analyzed. Additionally performed is analysis of the ionic composition of the pulp liquid phase. Device for implementing the method includes a sampling device in the form of a hollow container with a perforated filtering surface and a hollow rod, a combined vacuum pump connected through a receiver and a slide valve with the hollow rod, a cylinder with a servo or a pneumatic drive for reciprocal movement of the sampling device. Additionally the device is equipped with a visiometric analyzer of the sample colour characteristics and a potentiometric pH sensor of the pulp liquid phase.
EFFECT: reduced errors in measuring material composition of the sample, reduced analysis time, reduced duration of preventive maintenance, as well as broader functional capabilities owing to analysis of mineral composition of the sample solid phase and ionic composition of the liquid phase.
