FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: using this method of vehicle transmission operation when the engine is running, the torque is transmitted to the driven shaft and gearbox by means of a torque converter, while adjusting the angular velocities until they are later aligned in the drive and driven shafts. The transmission is additionally supplied with a magnetic clutch mounted on the driven shaft with external and internal magnetic rotors and with an electric motor. The angular velocities of the drive and driven shafts are controlled and in accordance with them the rotating electromagnetic field, arising between the external magnetic rotor rigidly connected to the motor shaft by means of flexible coupling and the internal magnetic rotor of the magnetic clutch rigidly connected to the driven shaft, is controlled. When aligning the angular velocities of the drive and driven shafts, the motor is switched off.
EFFECT: mechanical losses are reduced.
