FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: power plant (100) comprises a housing (108) with the first housing section (I), and the second housing section (II), wherein the AC generator (110) is located within the first housing section (I), and the gas turbine (120) It is located within the second housing section (II). The first housing section (I) comprises an element (101) for air inlet which is adapted to discharge air jet (102) therethrough to the first housing section (I) so that the air jet (102) extends along the AC generator (110) and cools the AC generator (110). The first housing section (I) is connected to the second housing section (II) to supply air jet (102) into the second housing section (II). Also a method of power plant operation is provided.
EFFECT: invention simplifies the whole system to reduce cost of materials and labour for installation and assembly.
