SUBSTANCE: device for data carrier protection has a base, a lid, and the first and second sidewalls. The base and the lid are interconnected and can be folded. The first and second side walls are located across from each other and each connected to one edge of the base; each can be folded between the base and the lid. The first and the second sidewalls are made so that their peripheral part facing the lid could be bent mainly under the right angle to the surface of the wall to interact with the lid when it is opened. The peripheral parts of the first and second side walls and the lid are designed to allow for holding the lid at an angle relative to the base.

EFFECT: invention has a simple design and provides reliable protection against lateral exposure.
