FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the design of unsealed compartments of powerplants (PP) of super- and hypersonic aircrafts (AC). In thermal protection of unsealed compartment of the AC PP with internal heat insulation of compartment housing, thermal insulation of PP elements and the heat shield in the form of a porous shell, heat insulation of compartment housing and PP elements, made of fibrous insulating material based on mineral fiber, is lined with gas-permeable heat-resistant fabric. The heat shield is made of elastic gas-permeable heat-resistant fabric, installed in tail part of compartment with closing of the gap between PP nozzle and compartment housing, with the possibility of moving the PP nozzle.
EFFECT: simplification of thermal protection construction, reduction of thermal protection construction mass, and simultaneous increase in reliability of unsealed compartment of aircraft powerplant.
