FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: automated folding machine includes a supply means, a folding device of rotational type, and a storage device. The folding device comprises four parallel pairs of main rods. The rods are of equal length, arranged crosswise and made with the possibility of rotating together in a direction coordinated with the strip feeding direction relative to the central rotation axis perpendicular to this direction. Four parallel pairs of auxiliary rods are mounted on peripheral ends of the main rods. Four folding bars are installed on the peripheral ends of the auxiliary rods. The bars are mounted rotatably and with the possibility of circumscribing a substantially elliptical trajectory in the space. The major trajectory axis is oriented substantially horizontally. The central stacking axis is oriented substantially vertically and parallel to the minor elliptical trajectory axis.
