SUBSTANCE: each of the pixels in the matrix substrate includes the first pixel electrode, the second pixel electrode, and the third pixel electrode. The third pixel electrode is connected with the second pixel electrode through the third transistor. In the two-dimensional display mode, the third transistor is turned on, so that the second pixel electrode and the third pixel electrode are electrically connected. At this moment three pixel electrodes are able to display the corresponding two-dimensional images. The second pixel electrode voltage changes due to voltage of the third pixelel ectrode. In the three-dimensional display mode, the second pixel electrode and the third pixel electrode are not electrically connected, so that the third pixel electrode is in the black-image display state.

EFFECT: increase of the brightness and image size.
