FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: monopulse waveguide antenna array with frequency scanning consists of a sum-difference waveguide diagram-forming circuit (4) and linear emitters (1, 2, 3…N), the radiators are fed through T-slotted directional couplers (7), which are connected between the curved waveguide sections of a special configuration - loops (8) connected in series and forming a short (5) and long (6) delayed lines in the E-plane. The choice of the lengths of the delay line waveguide loops is made taking into account the phase dependence of the directional couplers on the magnitude of the transient attenuation. Short and long delay lines of the diagram-forming circuit are fed through the two-channel waveguide phase shift module (18) from the waveguide bridge device with adjustable dividing factor (10), consisting of 2-x directed couplers (11) with the transient attenuation 3 dB and the tunable phase shifter included among them (12). Two emitter (N/2), and (N/2-1), located in the center of the antenna, as well as two emitters (N) and (N-1) are fed from the extreme directional couplers of the short and long delay lines through the output two-channel waveguide phase shifters (16) and (17).
EFFECT: providing a low level of sidelobes of the directional diagram of the total channel in the plane of frequency scanning, increasing the accuracy of determining the angular coordinate in the plane of frequency scanning, and achieving a minimum difference in the signal levels at the maxima of the directivity diagram of the difference channel throughout the operating frequency range.
