SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer security. Disclosed is method, in which receiving update, containing new version of full disk encryption module; prior to update installation locking execution of operations performed by full-disk encryption module; replacing full-disk encryption module with new version of module, obtained from update; changing computer booting process for provision of launching of loading disk compatibility checking pre-booting means new version with of full disk encryption module new version after of basic input/output system initiation and before operating system launching; converting users authentication data, which are used for further data on disc decryption and operating system loading; performing loading disk pre-loading compatibility check with new version of full disk encryption module; performing operating system loading, using converted users authentication data; completing installation of full-disk encryption module update, cancelling locking of all operations performed by full-disk encryption module.
EFFECT: technical result consists in enabling loading disk compatibility with new version of full disk encryption module.
