Mobile communication device having a plurality of operating states and comprising a housing, a processor configured to perform a first artificial image, perform a second artificial image, input device connected to said housing, the actuation of said input device permitting the user to perform a change in the operating state of the mobile communication device between the first artificial manner and the second artificial manner, and an indicator coupled to a connection with said input device and configured to provide feedback to a user based on the operating state of the mobile communication device, wherein said input device and said indicator are isolated in hardware such that said input device and said indicator are not available for unreliable code running on the mobile communication device.
