FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: mandrel, which forms part of the corresponding device, is inserted into the cup. The mandrel comprises a receiving recess. The lower part of the cup is supported by the supporting device. The collet is mounted into the glass with the part where the laying protrusion should be formed. Then, the collet is pressed radially inward toward the receiving recess so that part of the cup wall is pressed into the receiving recess to form a cup wall on the laying protrusion. Cup height is simultaneously reduced due to the movement of the mandrel and/or supporting fixture in the axial direction. The pressure, applied to the collet, is removed, and the cup is removed from the mandrel and the collet supporting fixture.

EFFECT: preventing of wall material stretching, elimination of defects in the inner layer of polymeric material, simplification of production process and the construction of the corresponding device, improved productivity in the production of the corresponding cups.
