FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: excitation system of the synchronous generator contains two uncontrolled control channels, connected in parallel to the excitation winding of the synchronous generator. As the main one, the channel of the compounding generator is used, and the other auxiliary channel is formed by an auxiliary generator whose excitation winding is connected to the source of alternating voltage of the auxiliary needs of the power plant through a diode-thyristor converter and a potential-controller with an electric drive. The thyristors of the diode-thyristor converter are controlled from their anode voltage through the transistor and the contact of the control relay; the input of the potential-regulator drive is connected to the circuits that form the main functional channels for the excitation of the synchronous generator.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability by excluding controlled elements from the excitation system, without violating the requirements of automatic excitation control.
