SUBSTANCE: same weights of the seeds to be compared are treated with stimulant preparations, placed in containers, the seeds are brought into contact with water, seeds are maintained in these solutions, the amount of carbon dioxide released during germination is determined and compared, using the seeds that are hypersensitive to stimulation. Higher germination indices (the amount of carbon dioxide released during the germination of seeds) characterize better quality of the stimulant preparation.

EFFECT: invention allows to assess the biological activity of preparations recommended for increasing the sowing quality of seeds of cereal crops and to choose the most effective one.
