SUBSTANCE: system comprises at least one monitoring unit (24) for patient physiological state monitoring, and a host system (14) comprising a network of points (16, 18, 20) for wireless reception of the physiological state data. Each monitoring unit (24) is designed for physiological state data transmission to the access points in the selected time points along with the time-associated data indicating the expected time of the next transmission. The host system (14) is configured to output an alarm signal delayed by the delay time (d1) after the expected time point (TA, TB, TC) of data transmission without reception of additional physiological state data (P) from the corresponding monitoring unit (24). The delay time (d1) is dependent on at least one measurement interval of at least one physiological parameter of the patient, or the delay time is based on the current physiological state of the patient. The invention further relates to the corresponding method for patient physiological state monitoring.
