SUBSTANCE: electronic label (100) comprises a machine-readable identifier module, a data exchange module for receiving product information, an attachment means for attaching an electronic label (100) to a product and a display for displaying product information. The computer readable identifier module of the electronic label (100) is configured to activate the communication module and/or the display in response to a command received by the computer-readable identifier module. Moreover, the system is configured to provide an alarm signal if the base station can not communicate with this electronic label.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of data protection of electronic labels.
