SUBSTANCE: invention relates to placement of an electronic pricing label and a method for controlling the label, as well as to a system of electronic pricing labels. Proposed are a system of electronic pricing labels, an apparatus and a method for controlling an electronic pricing label, wherein the electronic pricing label comprises a display and a communication tool. When implementing the method, the identifier in the electronic pricing label is read and a command is sent to the electronic pricing label through the near area based on the read identifier. Said command can be a clearing command and/or a annulment command for the electronic pricing label, or a command containing a new state and/or a new price.

EFFECT: claimed group of solutions provides a possibility of sending a command directly to the needed electronic label from multiple labels without affecting the function of other labels located in the short-range area.
