SUBSTANCE: composition for use in or as a water-in-oil drilling fluid comprising: (A) one or more primary, secondary or tertiary alkoxylated amine compounds, (B) one or more carboxylic acid compounds selected from one or more representatives of the group of polyalkylene glycol-carboxylic acid esters with monoalcohols and polyalkylene glycol-carboxylic acid esters with polyols, (C) an oil that is flowable for at least 25°C, (F) water and, in addition, salts dissolved in water at a concentration of more than 1 wt %, and the composition is a water-in-oil emulsion in which the oil forms a continuous phase and the water forms a dispersed phase. A composition for improving the cold flow properties of crude oil comprising: one or more primary, secondary or tertiary alkoxylated amine compounds, one or more carboxylic acid compounds selected from one or more members of the polyalkylene glycol carboxylic acid ester group with monoalcohols and polyalkylene glycolcarboxylic ester Acids with polyols, an oil that is fluid at least at 25°C, water and, in addition, salts dissolved in water at a concentration of more than 1 wt % and the composition is a water-in-oil emulsion in which the oil forms a continuous phase and water forms a dispersed phase. A method for drilling a borehole using a composition comprising components from (A) to (C) and (F), in particular from (A) to (F) or (A) to (D) and (F), by any p. 1 to 15, as a drilling fluid or a portion of a drilling fluid, the method comprising the step of supplying a drilling fluid to a borehole during a drilling operation. The use of the above composition as a drilling fluid or part of a drilling fluid, particularly in the development of oil and gas fields, in geothermal drilling operations or in drilling operations of water wells, in the form of a water-in-oil emulsion. The use of the above composition as a water-in-oil emulsifier. The use of mentioned composition comprising components (A), (B), (F) and additionally salts dissolved in (F) at a concentration of more than 1% by weight, and the composition is a water-in-oil emulsion in which (C) forms a continuous phase, and (F) forms a dispersed phase to increase the flowability of heavy crude oils or extremely heavy crude oils by forming water-in-oil emulsions with reduced viscosity. The use of a composition consisting of (A), (B) as an emulsifier system for the production of water-in-oil emulsions. The invention is developed in subclaims.
