DIRECT-CURRENT VOLTAGE REGULATOR Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC H02M3/337

Abstract RU 2626462 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: direct-current voltage regulator contains a self-commutated inverter, an electric transformer and a rectifier, in which a single-phase transformer contains an average point in the primary and secondary windings. The first input pin of a stabiliser is connected to the collectors of the first and second transistors of the high-frequency inverter, the middle point of the secondary winding of the transformer and the first input of the control system. The second input pin of the stabiliser is connected to the middle point of the primary winding of the transformer, the second output of the stabiliser and the second input of the control system. Emitters of the first and second transistors are connected with the ends of the primary winding of the transformer respectively, and their control inputs are connected to the outputs of the control system, the beginning and the end of the secondary winding of the transformer through the first and second diodes are connected and are the first output of the stabiliser, the control system comprises a saw-tooth voltage current generator, a standard-voltage divider, a pulse driver, a pulse distributor, the first and the second pulse amplifiers. According to the invention, the standard-voltage divider is made in form of magnetodiode, and control system comprises RL-circuit, magnetic core with an air gap, an additional open coil, a constant current source, a resistor. The first and the second inputs of the saw-tooth voltage current generator are used as the first and the second inputs of the control system, the third and the fourth inputs of which are the first and the second outputs of the RL-circuit, the first output pin of which is connected to the first output of the voltage stabiliser, the second output pin of which is connected to the second output of the voltage stabiliser. The output of the saw-tooth voltage current generator is connected by the first input of the pulse driver. The pulse driver output is connected via a pulse distributor to the first and the second pulse amplifiers, the outputs of which are outputs of the control system. In the magnetic core air gap, which is the coil core in the RL-circuit and an additional open coil, a magnetodiode is locaded and is connected with the resistor in the forward direction to the direct-current voltage source sequentially. The anode and the cathode of the magnetodiode are connected to the second and the third inputs of the pulse driver.

EFFECT: increased reliability of DC voltage regulator operation and possibility of forced control of the output voltage, stabilisation of the DC source voltage.
