FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: paenibacillus mucilaginosus strain, which stimulates the growth of plants and possesses an enhanced ability to synthesise bactericins with a wide spectrum of phytopathogenic microflora suppression, was deposited in the All-Russian Collection of Industrial Microorganisms under the registration number VKPM V-12259. Application of Paenibacillus mucilaginosus VKPM B-12259 strain as a fertiliser for crops and for prevention and treatment of plants fungal diseases. A method for growth stimulation and plants protection against fungal diseases is proposed. It presupposes pre-sowing treatment of soil, seeds, and culture suspension of Paenibacillus mucilaginosus VKPM B-12259 strain at a concentration not less than 120 million spores/ml.

EFFECT: increased yield of crops and their resistance to fungal diseases.
