FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves the sheets deformation by the drive stationary rolls and idle moving rolls, which axes are mutually perpendicular. The sheets deformation is made by the drive stationary rolls, which axes are perpendicular to the rolling axis and at least one pair of idle moving rolls, mounted in the movable frame, reciprocating in the direction perpendicular to the sheet rolling. The movement of the deformable sheets in the rolling direction is carried out by the drive stationary rolls, and the deformation is carried out by the idle moving rolls in the direction perpendicular to the sheets rolling axis, at least per four-six cycles of its reciprocating movement.
EFFECT: increase of the rolling sheets accuracy, reduction of its longitudinal and transverse variation in thickness.
