SUBSTANCE: method of absorption purification of gases from unintended impurities is proposed, comprising countercurrent contact of the purified gas and the regenerated absorbent in a mass transfer column to produce purified gas and a saturated absorbent, and a column for its implementation, a packed contact device of which is divided in height into independent mass transfer sections with a countercurrent or crosscurrent movement of the purified gas and the regenerated absorbent. The stream of the purified gas passes successively through all the independent mass transfer sections of the mass transfer column from the bottom up, the regenerated absorbent stream is injected into the top of each independent mass transfer section and the saturated absorbent stream is discharged from the bottom of each independent mass transfer section.
EFFECT: increased degree of purification.
