SUBSTANCE: device for increase of cross country capacity of automobile contains the latters of brake mechanisms, each of which comprises two-arm control lever with return spring and ratchet fitted on horizontal axis, washers rigidly fitted on the elongated front part of the brake cable ahead of two-arm control lever bottom end and equalizer. Brake cable is passed through cylindrical bore at balancer end and bore in control lever lower end. The bores in the front part have cylindrical recesses, the cylindrical washers enter them, the washers have on the cylindrical surface axial grooves of the trapezoidal section, and on the end surface - radial grooves of triangular cross-section, designed so that the edge of one groove doubles as that of adjacent groove.
