FIELD: printing industry.
SUBSTANCE: vinyl comprises a polymer layer having a top surface and a bottom surface, an adhesive layer located on bottom surface of polymer layer. Polymer layer is capable of receiving printing media on upper surface and contains an additive with low surface energy. Additive has surface energy from about 5 dynes/cm to about 50 dynes/cm, distributed in polymer layer or located near the surface of polymer layer. This polymer layer contains from about 0.1 to about 10% by weight of additive with low surface energy.
EFFECT: creating a vinyl that has a uniform printing definition for the length and width of film, which does not change significantly with time, temperature and pressure, improving print quality.
