FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method of cleaning soils from heavy metals under urban conditions involves planting decorative flower plants. Marigolds and amaranth are used as a plant-phytoremedation on soils contaminated with heavy metals, the plants are brought to the end of the flowering stage, and the migration of elements of heavy metals is obtained at the biological absorption ratio for marigold and amaranth in the aboveground part 17, and in the underground part 33.1, respectively, followed by removal from the urban soil, and the plants are utilised.
EFFECT: preventing negative man-made impact on urbanised areas and planning necessary nature protection measures under the conditions of urban agromelioration.
