SUBSTANCE: gas turbine engine with an external heat exchanger comprises a housing and a cover sealing the entrance to the housing, a compressor, a combustion chamber, a system of electrolyte supply via a cavitation jet, an ingniter, a turbine and an electrolyser. The cover sealing the entrance to the housing is designed suitable for controlled air intake into the engine. The electrolyte supply system is designed to supply electrolyte via the cavitation jet into the air flow drawn into the engine and to supply fuel into the combustion chamber. The electrolyser is designed as a cavitator with a central body by supplying direct electric current from the power source to the cavitator elements and is mounted in a separate housing, hermetically connected to the combustion chamber, designed to supply gas mixture under compressor delivery pressure through this electrolyser-cavitator with a central body into the combustion chamber, Leontief pipe for separating the gas flow from the combustion chamber into subsonic and supersonic components, subsonic flow recirculation channel. Subsonic flow recirculation channel is connected to the heat exchanger.

EFFECT: reduced fuel consumption and increased engine efficiency.
