SUBSTANCE: method comprises the steps of: displaying an input image on a display unit; an object detection frame that shows at least a portion of the object contained in the input image is displayed on the display unit; and performing a scaling operation on the input image according to a predetermined scaling factor. The object detection frame is not located in the center of the input image. When there is a plurality of object detection frames, the scaling factor is determined based on each of the plurality of object detection frames and the input image. The ratio of the first distance between the object detection frame and the left border of the input image to the second distance between the object detection frame and the right border of the input image before performing the scaling operation is essentially the same as after the scaling operation is performed.
EFFECT: allows to photograph an object by automatically performing zoom operation with the proper composition, which makes it easier to operate the digital still camera.
