A plurality of abnormality indices for a plurality of aircraft flights are calculated to obtain the probability distribution density of abnormality index, the probability distribution density is smoothed over to obtain a smoothed continuous distribution density function, based on which, the smoothed continuous distribution density function is calculated, the preceding member of the continuous smooth function for the 1-Pa value is read, wherein it corresponds to the decision threshold.

EFFECT: reliability and accuracy of determining the decision threshold for controlling the wear of onboard unit in an aircraft.
