FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method includes sequentially setting up modules, by means of an alignment and assembling stand on a common support plate, consisting of several coaxially placed inserts forming elementary sliding-fall mirrors combined on a single base. Herewith the orientation of each module relative to the common support plate is carried out using laser radiation of the visible spectral range along the orientation of the outer end surface of its single base, which is previously mirror, for which a wide-aperture monochromatic beam is formed with a quasi-plane wave front, divergence θ chosen from condition θ≤3⋅10-5 Rad, and direct it to the mirror surface of the base, monitoring the position of the module on the receiving area of the CCD camera on the reflected signal with respect to a predetermined reference mark fixing the optical axis of the beam, providing the required angular accuracy of each module mounting on the common support plate. If necessary, the possible angular deviations are corrected.
EFFECT: alignment and assembling processes of the mirror system are performed with high accuracy.
