SUBSTANCE: tread provides a reinforcing part (7) on the side walls (52, 53) of the block (5) of the tread (1) of tyres, forming frontal surfaces. The difference (G) of distance (Rt), measured from the axis of tyre rotation to the farthest from the center side of the upper block surface, and distance (Re), measured similarly from the axis of tyre rotation to the edges of the two frontal surfaces, ranges from 0.2 mm to 2.0 mm in the new product. The distance from the axis of rotation to any point in the zone of the upper surface of the block, except for the edge of the frontal surface, exceeds the distance (Re). The distance from the part on the farthest from the center side of the reinforcing part to the edge of the frontal surface, measured in the radial direction, does not exceed 2.0 mm.

EFFECT: improved performance while driving on ice and improved performance while driving in snow.
