FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: frequency converter comprises the first channel including the first mixer, the first filtration unit, the second mixer; the first unit of heterodynes and the second unit of heterodynes. The first mixer with its inputs is connected to the first input of the frequency converter and the first unit of heterodynes. The outputs of the first mixer are connected to the second unit of heterodynes and through the first filtration unit - to the input of the second mixer. The output of the second mixer is connected to the first output of the frequency converter. The device comprises the second channel including the third mixer, the second filtration unit, the fourth mixer. The inputs of the third mixer are connected to the second unit of heterodynes and to the second input of the frequency converter. The output of the third mixer is connected through the second filtration unit to the input of the fourth mixer, the other input of which is connected to the first unit of heterodynes. The second output of the fourth mixer is connected to the second output of the frequency converter.

EFFECT: providing simultaneous frequency conversion up and down the frequency range, improving the performance parameter.
