SUBSTANCE: invention is related to radio engineering and may be used for detection and identification of radio transmitter by its radiation in nearest zone and, in particular in searching-detecting detection systems. Method includes reception of short-duration radio frequency signals in near-field region of radio transmitter electromagnet field, separation of received signals into two processing channels, supply of signals from outlets of one of channels to inlet of receiving device and its appropriate processing, supply of signals from outlet of signals from outlet of the second channel in searching and detection channel, in which, as a result of appropriate processing, signals amplitude exceeding established value of energy threshold means availability of radio transmitter in controlled object, its frequency is measured, and receiving device is tuned for this frequency, signals are received from detected radio transmitter, and after appropriate processing type of radio transmitter operation channel is identified, and decision is made on identification of radio signals processed with receiving device. Stated device is arranged in a certain manner for realisation of stated method.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and reliability of radio transmitter detection by its radiation.
