SUBSTANCE: boot (20) has a sole (22) with an outer surface (23) intended to be positioned on the upper surface (13) of the ski. The binding has a bar (30) comprising a flange (31) at a distance (S1) from the outer surface (23) of the sole (22), and a base (24) protruding from the flange. The base has a smaller cross-section (A2) than the cross section (A1) of the flange. The binding also comprises a one-piece framing plate (9) having an internal opening (14), the cross section (A3) of which is greater than the cross-section (A2) of the base, and larger than the cross section (A1) of the flange, and also the lever (8) or a slider (7) movably mounted in the directions (P1 or P2) parallel to the upper surface (13) of the ski. The lever/slider is located between the outer surface (23) and the flange (31).

EFFECT: ability to easily connect the binding to the ski, and also the connection between the boot and the ski can be obtained at the optimum part of the sole.
