SUBSTANCE: lighting device (1) contains a base (2) and a section (3) located opposite the base. In the base (2) there is a lamp base (4) and a driver (7). The heat sink (14) is located in the section (3) separate from the driver. The light source (13) is mounted on the underside (15) of the heat sink (14) facing the base (2). Wire (10) is designed to electrically connect the light source (13) to the driver (7). A portion of the wire (10) extending from the base (2) to the lighting device portion (3) is not obstructed by any of the components of the illuminating device (1) and exposed to light from the light source (13). The shell (12) surrounds at least a light source (13) and an open portion of the wire (10) which is located separately from the sheath (12).

EFFECT: increased working life due to improved heat dissipation.
