FIELD: mining engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method for treating a sulphide metal ore to recover the necessary mineral from a sulphide-containing gangue includes obtaining pulp by suspending the ore in water and grinding said ore; and enriching the pulp with said necessary mineral by foam flotation where hydrogen peroxide is added to said pulp immediately prior to passage or during passage of oxygen or air through said pulp. The optimum amount of hydrogen peroxide added is determined based on measurements of the oxygen content dissolved in the pulp.
EFFECT: improving the quality and recovery of essential minerals, especially copper from sulphide ores.
