FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a process of recovering a copper sulfide concentrate by froth flotation from an ore containing iron sulphide. A method of recovering a copper sulfide concentrate from an ore containing iron sulfide comprises the following steps: a) wet grinding of ore using grinding media to obtain mineral pulp, b) conditioning the mineral pulp using a collecting compound to produce conditioned mineral pulp, and c) froth flotation of conditioned mineral pulp to produce flotation foam and flotation tailings, and separation of flotation foam from flotation tailings to recover the concentrate containing copper sulphide. In step a) grinding media made of high chromium cast iron alloy having a chromium content of from 10 to 35 % by weight are used. To the conditioned mineral pulp, between stages b) and c) or during the step c) hydrogen peroxide is added.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the content of copper sulphides in the concentrate and the degree of extraction of copper sulfides, a low consumption of chemicals required for processing.
