SUBSTANCE: absorbent article comprises a base portion having a waist portion extending from it. The waist portion comprises a side edge, an edge of the waist opening, an edge of the foot opening, first and second warps bonded to each other, and elastic members disposed between the first base and the second base. The waist portion also includes a first textured region comprising a first portion of the bases and elastic threads and located in close proximity to the side edge and edge of the waist opening and a second textured area comprising a second portion of the warp and elastic threads and located in close proximity to the side edge and edge of the opening for the foot. The first textured region is extended at least partially along the first lateral extension of the waist portion, and the second textured region is extended at least in part along the second lateral extension of the waist portion.
