SUBSTANCE: drinking device (2) for animals comprises a drinking bowl (4) for keeping water, a water supply system (6) in hydraulic communication with the drinking bowl (4), made with the possibility to be connected to a water supply source (8). The device also includes a water outlet (16) located in the bottom (18) of the drinking bowl (4), an outlet valve device (20) connected to the water outlet (16), and a water level control system (24). The control system (24) comprises a controller (26), a timer (30) and a lower level sensor (28) made with the possibility to determine the lower water level in the drinking bowl (4). The timer (30) is made with the possibility to measure a first time slot and a second time slot. The control system (24) is made with the possibility to open the water outlet (16) under the first condition and under the second condition, if the first condition is not met. Wherein the first condition is met, when the first time slot expires and the water level in the drinking bowl (4) is by or below the lower level sensor (28), and the second condition is met, when the second time interval expires.

EFFECT: possibility to create conditions for low water consumption.
