FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to roofing insulation (1) with an outer side (2) facing in the laid state to external environment, and with an inner side (3) facing inward in the laid state, with at least one vapour-permeable carrier layer (4) and at least one waterproof, but vapour-permeable functional layer (5) connected to the carrier layer (4). As an outer layer, a protective layer (6) is provided on the outer side (2) to protect other layers of roofing insulation (1) from UV radiation. The protective layer (6) contains an open-cell foam material or consists of an open-cell foam material.
EFFECT: effective protection on the outside from the impact of incident UV radiation by means of simple or resource-saving production process.
