FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: during surgical treatment of acquired atresia of the external auditory canal, access and removal of fibrous atresia tissue is performed. The skin in the external auditory canal is cut off along the border of the atretic tissues, forming a cutaneous "bag". The skin is dissected by a U-shaped incision on the side facing the back wall of the external auditory canal. Front and back flaps are formed on the feeding leg. The atresia tissue is removed to the fibrous ring of the tympanic membrane. The lumen of the external auditory canal is expanded with the removal of a part of the bone massif of the lower wall, as well as of the anterior and upper walls. The front meatotimpanal angle is smoothened. Cutaneous flaps are placed on the anterior and posterior bone walls of the external auditory canal to the tympanic membrane.
EFFECT: method allows to reduce the risk of scarring in the postoperative period.
