FIELD: wood processing industry.
SUBSTANCE: crushed wood is mixed with the synthetic binder with further cold pre-pressing and hot pressing. The furan agent is used as the binder, consisting of furfurol-aceton-monomer FA and the hardener-toluenesulfonic acid. The hot pressing of wood chipboards is carried out at the temperature of press boards 180-220°C.
EFFECT: strength increases, thickness swelling and water absorption of wood chipboards decreases.
