SUBSTANCE: method of switching an operating mode to a safe mode is disclosed, the method is applied to a household electric appliance and the method comprises the steps of: detect whether its own state of operation is faulty; switch the current mode to the safe mode if the operating status is faulty; operate in a safe mode, the safe mode comprises at least one of turning off the engine in the household appliance and stop the rotation of the fan in the household appliance; and send a malfunction data to the electronic device when the household appliance is connected to the electronic device. The electronic device is configured to display the malfunction data in the display interface of the electronic device to notify the user of the malfunction data, and wherein the malfunction data comprises at least one of a fault position, a malfunction trouble, a malfunction time and a fault image.
EFFECT: notification of the user about the malfunction data.
