FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to determine the rating of an athlete in game sports, in which the score is played out as a result of a series of strikes against a sports projectile, such as badminton, tennis and others. The athlete being tested is presented a circle on a display with a mark and a point object moving at the specified speed around the circle. The athlete being tested follows the point object travelling and stops it moving round the circle by pressing the Stop button once seeing an assumed matching of the moving point object and the mark. That is followed by calculation of the matching error of the point object and mark - lag time or lead time, and proceeding with point object moving around the circle after some time. The subject with a break of a predetermined duration performs a predetermined number of runs from a predetermined number of stops of the moving point object in the mark position area. In each series, evaluation of the response time t of the subject to the moving object is calculated as the arithmetic mean value according to the formula. Based on the results of all series the arithmetic mean of lag or lead errors and the arithmetic mean of the standard deviation of lag or lead errors calculated from the results of the individual series are calculated. The results of the arithmetic mean values calculations are ranked and each result is assigned a serial number, starting with the smallest value, and the sum S of the sequence numbers of the subjects is counted. The subjects rating is calculated as the reciprocal of the sum of the serial numbers multiplied by 100. The subject having a higher rating is regarded as more promising and able to show higher results in competitions.
