SUBSTANCE: method for protecting a helicopter from guided munitions consists of searching for an optical radiation from the guided munition (GM) from a helicopter, including shooting an aerosol-forming munition in the direction of the helicopter's flight and forming an aerosol cloud at a specified distance, lighting it with laser radiation in the frequency range of the infrared spectrum corresponding to the helicopter, determining the composite elements of the GM parameters of its flight trajectory by optical functioning radiation, determining the magnitude of the GM miss by their meaning relative to the helicopter and the comparison of its value with the specified value. If a certain amount of overshoot is less than the specified value, the airborne antiterrorism countermeasures are included.

EFFECT: increasing the effectiveness of the helicopter protection against guided munition.
