FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: drive design for a gas turbine engine comprises: a fan shaft; a frame, supporting the fan shaft; a gear system that drives the fan shaft; a flexible bearing structure that at least partially supports the gear system, and an inlet assembly of the gear system. Bending stiffness (KFSBEND) of the flexible bearing structure with respect to the longitudinal axis of the engine and the bending stiffness (KICBEND) of the inlet assembly relative to said rotation axis is less than 20% of the bending stiffness (KframeBEND) of the frame relative to said axis. Bending stiffness (KICBEND) of the inlet assembly relative to the longitudinal axis of the engine is less than 5% of the bending stiffness (KGMBEND) of the gearing zone between the sun gear and the planetary gears of the gear system with respect to said axis. Bending stiffness (KFSBEND) of the flexible bearing structure relative to this axis is less than 8% of the bending stiffness (KGMBEND) of said gearing zone relative to said axis.
EFFECT: preventing loss of efficiency and reducing the service life of the drive design and the gas turbine engine as a whole, possible misalignment of the plain bearings in the gear drive and in engagement with gears.
